1. Overview
Vertex Group ("Vertex Group," "we," "us," or "our") provides the PeriHop mobile game, its playable web demo, and this website (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Services handle and the choices available to you.
Plain-language summary: PeriHop is designed to work without an account. As currently released, game progress and preferences stay on your device. This website ships without advertising, tracking pixels, or analytics cookies.
2. Data we handle
Mobile game data stored on your device
PeriHop stores the information needed to remember your game locally using platform-provided application storage. This may include:
- high scores, earned shards, total runs, catches, and mastery records;
- unlocked and selected cosmetic comet styles;
- gameplay preferences, such as sound and wall mode; and
- limited counters used to avoid asking for an app-store rating too often.
This data is not transmitted to Vertex Group by the current version of PeriHop. It remains on your device unless your device platform backs up app data under your own platform-account settings.
Playable website demo
The demo stores one value—your demo high score—in your browser's local storage. It does not use cookies, create an account, or send the score to us. Use the "Reset best" control next to the demo to erase it.
Information you choose to send
If you contact support, we receive the information you include, such as your email address, device model, operating-system version, screenshots, and description of an issue. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information.
Information we do not collect in the current Services
We do not operate user accounts, behavioral advertising, precise-location tracking, contact uploads, or third-party analytics in the current version. PeriHop does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or location.
3. App stores and native ratings
PeriHop may ask your device's official app store to display its standardized rating prompt after a positive gameplay milestone. Apple or Google decides whether the prompt appears and processes any rating or review you submit. We do not receive your identity from the prompt through the game. Store providers process information under their own privacy policies and account settings.
Downloading the game, receiving updates, crash reporting performed by your operating system, and any store-level purchase or review activity may also involve Apple or Google independently of Vertex Group.
4. Children's privacy
PeriHop is a general-audience arcade game and does not require children to provide personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the current game or demo. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support channel, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Parents and guardians should manage app downloads, device backups, reviews, and communications using the parental controls provided by the relevant device and app store.
5. Your choices and controls
- Game data: You can remove locally stored PeriHop data through your operating system's app-storage controls or by deleting the app. Some platforms may restore data from a device backup.
- Demo score: Select "Reset best" beside the playable demo or clear local storage for this site in your browser.
- Sound: Use the in-game or demo sound control.
- Ratings: You can dismiss a native rating prompt or disable in-app rating prompts through supported operating-system settings.
- Support email: You can ask us to delete a support conversation, subject to records we must retain for security, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes.
6. Security and retention
We use reasonable organizational and technical measures appropriate to the limited information we handle. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Game progress and the demo best score remain until you clear them as described above. Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, improve the Services, protect users, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. Because the current game does not send us gameplay data, we generally cannot access or recover your local game progress.
To exercise a right concerning information you sent to support, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
